Refund & Engagement Policy
Overview
Legacy Human Performance ("LHP") programs are fixed-term coaching engagements, not subscriptions. When you enter an engagement, you are committing to a defined term, and LHP is reserving coaching capacity for that term. This policy explains how that commitment works, what happens if circumstances change, and where refunds do and do not apply.
This policy applies to all LHP coaching engagements. Where an individual coaching agreement you have signed states different terms, that agreement governs.
Engagement Terms
LHP programs are offered as fixed-term engagements:
- LHP Diagnostic — three-month engagement
- LHP Protocol — six-month engagement
- LHP Command — twelve-month engagement
Each engagement begins with a four-week onboarding and assessment phase. This phase sits outside the execution timeline. Your program term begins when your protocol is locked following onboarding.
Third-Party Costs
Laboratory testing, DEXA scans, VO₂ assessments, and any other third-party diagnostic services are a client-direct expense. These costs are not included in program fees, are paid by you directly to the provider, and are not refundable by LHP under any circumstance. LHP does not mark up, bill for, or receive any portion of these costs.
The 90-Day Review (Command Engagements)
Every LHP Command engagement includes a scheduled review at the 90-day mark. This is a structural milestone built into the engagement, not a trial window or a cancellation clause.
At 90 days, your engagement is assessed against the baseline established during onboarding. Two outcomes are available:
- The engagement continues as scheduled at Command cadence, or
- The engagement continues at Protocol cadence through the original Command engagement end date
Cash refunds are not part of this architecture. Where a conversion to Protocol cadence occurs, your original engagement end date is preserved and the remaining investment stays within the engagement. You invested in a term; you keep the term. The cadence adjusts to match your actual capacity.
Refunds
Because LHP engagements reserve dedicated coaching capacity for a fixed term, program fees are non-refundable once the engagement has begun. "Begun" means the onboarding and assessment phase has commenced.
If you have paid for an engagement but onboarding has not yet commenced, contact us and we will discuss options, which may include a full or partial refund at LHP's discretion, or deferral of your start date.
Cancellation by the Client
You may end an engagement at any time by written notice to the address below. Ending an engagement early does not entitle you to a refund of fees already paid, and any remaining scheduled payments under a payment plan remain due for the balance of the term.
Cancellation by LHP
LHP reserves the right to end an engagement where continuing would be inappropriate, including but not limited to circumstances where a medical condition makes coaching unsuitable, where a client is unresponsive for an extended period, or where conduct makes the coaching relationship unworkable. Where LHP ends an engagement for reasons other than client conduct, unused fees will be refunded on a pro-rata basis.
Payment Plans
Where an engagement is paid in installments, the full program fee is owed for the agreed term regardless of payment schedule. Missed payments may result in suspension of coaching services until the account is current.
Rescheduling Sessions
Scheduled review sessions may be rescheduled with reasonable notice. Sessions missed without notice are considered delivered and are not made up or credited.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Effective Date" above indicates the most recent revision. Changes do not apply retroactively to engagements already in progress.
